About the 4G Technology

The term 4G is the short representation for the fourth (4th) generation technology, which is the extension of the 3G technology. The 4G technology has more bandwidth and also it provides many services then the 3G. Although it is considered as the fourth generation of wireless technology. The 1G is the analog signal used by cellular towers, and later the 2G converts the analog signal to digital for sending messages through the networks. The 3G technology uses elctromagnetic wavelengths that is spectrum which helps the users to access the internet with the help of the 3G data card. The transmission rate of data in 4G is between 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps, as the 3G technology provides only 200Kbps.

Network connections in 4G technology is also better than the 3G because 4G is more accurate. The accurate connection in this provides the transmission of larger packets of data. The users can be able to access heavy applications like signals from television and also audio during the chat on video. This technology is useful to connect the various high speed networks which provides everyone for the accessing of digital devices in any locations. The world wide network operators are able to deploy the wireless networks and uses the radio technology for coverage and access.

All the packet switched technologies can be accessed by 4G technology and it is considered as the multi purpose, versatile technology. It uses orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) and orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA). The OFDM is used to split the digital signals into frequencies. The 4G uses this technology to minimize the intervention between symbols and channels that found in the data stream. It also supports multiple input and multiple output technology (MIMO) and this technology is mostly useful to reduce the errors in networks.

The combination of GSM and CDMA makes the 4G technology as flexible. So it is not only more useful for stationary users but also for mobile users. The 4G combines with the mobile technology that provides the better use of smart phones. To establish the video blogs the digital camera in smart phone is used. This provides the manufacturers to provide the most user friendly 4G devices. It is the new oppurtunity for the existing and startup companies.

The wireless service of 4G technology includes modems, netbooks and cell phones. It provides multiple access for various devices such as computers, netbooks, handheld gaming systems, and mobile phones. The netbook in 4G is like the laptop but with smaller memory and fewer drives. It provides new ways in downloading capabilities. Although 4G technology has very high transmission capacity but the technological improvements may not be enough for a full transition to 4G technology.
